As the Principal Adviser (Finance), you will play a crucial role in shaping the success of Queensland's Road Safety initiatives. Be at the forefront of the financial management and governance for both the QRS Program and the Customer Services, Safety and Regulation (CSSR) Portfolio Management Office. We are seeking a visionary leader, focused on enhancing the maturity and effectiveness of our financial reporting and management practices across various transport safety projects and programs.
Some of your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Provide strategic financial advice, guiding the CDOP and CSSR Portfolio to ensure positive financial outcomes within QRS Program.
• Oversee complex financial analyses, including revenue forecasting and financial modelling, staying agile to the needs of the CDOP within the QRS Program.
• Drive initiatives to refine financial management and reporting, elevating the financial acumen of QRS Program projects, and portfolios within LTSR Program Delivery.
• Lead robust funding tracking and financial performance reporting for individual initiatives and PMOs, including involvement in the annual QRS investment planning and Cabinet Budget Review Committee submissions.
• Forge and nurture productive relationships with stakeholders, liaising with the Business Performance Services Finance team to harmonise financial processes and practices.
• Champion compliance with legislative requirements and Accounting Standards, offering expert advice on financial reporting needs and policies.
Your Skillset:
• Adept at high-level financial analysis and governance with proven experience in similar roles.
• Skilled in revenue forecasting, financial positioning and performance tracking.
• Strong leadership abilities with a knack for identifying and implementing proces improvements.
• Exceptional communication skills to manage diverse stakeholder relationships.
• Thorough understanding of legislative and accounting standards, with a focus on compliance and best practices.
