What's involved –  Provide financial leadership for the Finance, Infrastructure and Support Services portfolio's and be accountable for the achievement of key strategies in improving financial reporting and management controls.

This includes provision of strategic leadership and professional operational advice to HHS staff at all levels within the organisation, and in all aspects of financial information and compliance.  You will contribute to the achievement of quality outcomes in services provided through continuous improvement practices including the delivery of training programs, identification, and management of emergent issues, and in applying contemporary best practice.

This senior position reports to both the Executive Director and the Financial Controller, Finance Infrastructure and Support Services, and is responsible for the management, preparation and delivery of annual financial statements and quarterly reporting to Queensland Treasury (Tridata).  You will work in close alignment with other staff within the portfolio and wider internal and external networks including Queensland Audit Office, the Department of Health, and Queensland Treasury.

About Central West Hospital and Health Service - We are responsible for the delivery of healthcare services to communities across a vast region to 20.6 per cent of Queensland. As a rural and remote hospital and health service, Central West HHS provides a range of community, primary and hospital-based services and has formed strong partnerships with other service providers to collectively support the holistic care to the people of the Central West.
