As our Senior Agribusiness Development Officer, you will:
• Engage widely to establish and maintain effective relationships with DAF stakeholders in the region.
• Work with industry and across the value chain to identify opportunities for increased performance productivity and efficiency, and improved resilience and sustainability in order to generate greater value for the sector and the economy as a whole.
• Prepare and contribute to the preparation of high-quality corporate documentation to communicate with influence.

As our Senior Agribusiness Development Officer, you will:
- Engage widely to establish and maintain effective relationships with DAF stakeholders in the region
- Work with industry and across the value chain to identify opportunities for increased performance productivity and efficiency, and improved resilience and sustainability in order to generate greater value for the sector and the economy as a whole.
- Utilise and develop networks, including within DAF and other state agencies to deliver a suite of services to help industry and enterprises solve their problems and grow their business and the regional economy.
- Identify new agricultural industry development opportunities specific to the region and develop projects and multidisciplinary teams to respond to, and deliver on, these opportunities
- Communicate with influence with external clients and within DAF and other State agencies, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare and contribute to the preparation of high-quality corporate documentation to communicate with influence
- Contribute as part of the DAF disaster response to quantify impacts and ensure that agribusinesses recover quickly following a disaster event.
Essential requirements
- Ability to work from the Emerald office
- Knowledge of Agriculture within Queensland
- Knowledge of various agricultural production systems and ability to apply this knowledge for economic growth
- Ability to travel and undertake work remotely
