About the role
The Queensland Public Trustee (QPT) is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of Queenslanders. Within our Customer Experience and Delivery (CED) program, we have an established unit to support survivors of institutionalised child sexual abuse, in response to the National Redress Scheme (NRS).
As a Customer Liaison Officer, you will be the first point of contact for all inbound enquiries from survivors seeking support through the NRS. Your primary responsibilities will include offering compassionate, trauma-informed assistance and evaluating their eligibility for the National Redress Scheme. This position requires effective collaboration with multiple stakeholders, managing sensitive information discreetly, and fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere. Your efforts will directly contribute to creating a positive, supportive environment for survivors of institutionalised child sexual abuse.
This is a temporary fixed term opportunity based in Brisbane CBD from 30 September 2024 to 30 September 2025. To learn more about this role, please download the attached role description.
About you
You are a compassion individual with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder networks. You possess expertise in trauma support with a deep understanding of and sensitivity to the trauma experienced by survivors of institutionalised child sexual abuse, providing non-judemental support is crucial.
