About us:

The Gladstone Emergency Department is a 24-hours public department providing initial treatment for all, definitive care for many, and resuscitation and stabilisation of emergencies or unwell patients prior to transfer to tertiary centres or admission to Gladstone Hospital. The geographical area it serves extends south, from Mount Larcom to Miriam Vale and west to Calliope; servicing approximately 62,660 residents. Approximately 35,000 patients are treated annually in the Emergency Department of which 25% are paediatric.

About the role:

A Nurse Grade 5 is a Registered Nurse who provides nursing services within health service settings; and demonstrates competence in the provision of nursing care as specified by registration requirements, Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) standards and codes, educational preparation, relevant legislation, and context of care.

About you:

  • Current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstration in the provision of safe, evidence based, client focused care within the Emergency Department setting.
  • Ability to contribute towards the efficient functioning of the Emergency Department with a strong focus on effective teamwork within the multidisciplinary setting.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $121,106 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $41.73 - $53.53 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
