About us:
Springsure Multipurpose Health Service is located 300kms west of the Rockhampton, 809km north-west of Brisbane and 68km south of Emerald. The population is approximately 1700 including the town and surrounding districts. Springsure is situated in the Central Highlands area and supports local mines and agricultural producers.
About the role:
The Clinical Nurse provides an early leadership role within the career pathway for nursing and is responsible for a specific patient population, and can function in more complex situations while providing support and direction to the Registered Nurse, Enrolled Nurse and other non-registered nursing personnel.
- Assumes responsibility for professional leadership for a ward, service, or unit in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
- Deliver an advanced standard of patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation by using clinical nursing expertise including for patients with complex care needs.
About you:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
- While not mandatory, a post graduate experience in Emergency or other critical care areas and Rural and Isolated Practice (Scheduled Medicines) RN is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, precept staff and contribute to professional nursing practice with confidence and integrity.

Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $5,785 p.m. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
