You will provide an effective and efficient support service through State Custody Unit to the watchhouse.

Provide transportation services for supplies and services as well as assisting in day-to-day operations and maintenance of the watchhouse facility.

Your Key Accountabilities:

The core capability requirements for this role are:

  • Provide transportation of staff, materials, supplies and services as required.
  • Undertake basic administrative and support to assist the facilities team.
  • Assist with the planning and monitoring of repairs/maintenance to the watchhouse, equipment/resources and vehicles, including cleaning, fuelling and auditing of vehicle logbooks.
  • Carry out minor repairs, maintenance and cleaning to facilities and equipment. This includes cleaning, submitting maintenance requests, assisting contractors, arranging laundry collection, etc.
  • Assist with daily non-custodial operations within the watchhouse, including dispensing meals, restocking prisoner clothing, PPE, etc.
  • Comply with work health and safety requirements, including safe storage and/or disposal of potentially harmful products and chemicals.

Role Requirements:

Mandatory:

  • Whilst not mandatory, LR class driver license - driving experience, preferably would be highly regarded.

Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience:

  • Proven experience with usage, maintenance and repairs of equipment and infrastructure.

Other:

  • Participate in a two-shift roster, operating between 6am and 8pm, seven days a week.
