This is a permanent vacancy and an excellent opportunity to understand the role of Queensland science - its variety of research strengths and current strategic local, national, and international partnerships. The role will allow you to broaden your experience, exposure and networks across government, universities, and industry sectors, as well as work closely with colleagues at the Ecosciences Precinct, Dutton Park.

The Science Development & Office of the Queensland Chief Scientist branch provides strategic leadership for the Queensland Government's investment in science research, capability and infrastructure. As a team, we play an important part in the development of strategic science policies, planning for future science investment, manage grants programs, and monitor and evaluate the investment in science and its impacts.
The Senior Project Officer is an important role that will contribute directly to the programs and projects that support and promote Queensland science. This includes developing and delivering initiatives and strategies that maximise the value from the Queensland Government's International science relationships; contributing to online projects that improve the Queensland Science web presence; enhancing the interaction between leading Queensland researchers and their local, national and international counterparts and supporting a range of key programs and initiatives undertaken by the team.
