An exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Engineering Tradesperson (Electrical Fitter/Mechanic) to join the Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services at the Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.

Your opportunity:
- The position of electrical fitter/mechanic is responsible for providing efficient and cost-effective electrical services within Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS). This role provides an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team working together to provide high level maintenance services regarding both emergent issues and ongoing planned maintenance of critical plant and infrastructure within various health care facilities and commercial properties.
Permanent Full Time (76 hours p.f.) and Temporary Full Time Position (76 hours p.f.), from date of appointment for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension.
Prior to being made an offer of employment, you will be required to demonstrate immunity to the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD): Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (chicken pox) and Pertussis (whooping cough).
From 9th December 2019 all new employees will be required to be assessed for their risk of Tuberculosis (TB). For further information regarding TB please visit Queensland Health website: Tuberculosis

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $92,515 p.a., comprising salary between $68,693 - $81,085 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HBEA8 – HBEA6) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f., and Temporary Full Time Position, 76 hours p.f., from date of appointment for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension) (Applications will remain current for 12 months).
