An exciting opportunity is currently available for experienced Registrars or Principal House Officers to join the Department of Emergency Team at the Bundaberg Hospital within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.

Your opportunity:
- This position description is general for all Registrars and Principal House Officers (PHO's) in the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. Specific duties will vary dependent upon the clinical specialty and some will be negotiated with the relevant consultant, the Department of Emergency Medicine and the individual. Each position is supervised by senior medical staff, although a reasonable degree of autonomy is expected. All Registrars and PHO's should provide leadership to junior residents working in the same clinical unit.
Several Temporary Full Time Positions (76 hours p.f.) from date of appointment for 12 months with the possibility of extension.
Prior to being made an offer of employment, you will be required to demonstrate immunity to the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD): Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (chicken pox) and Pertussis (whooping cough).
From 9th December 2019 all new employees will be required to be assessed for their risk of Tuberculosis (TB). For further information regarding TB please visit Queensland Health website: Tuberculosis

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $175,370 p.a., comprising salary between $129,583 - $150,240 p.a., (L4-L9) employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%) and vocational training subsidy, (Several Temporary Full Time Positions, 76 hours p.f., from date of appointment for 12 months with the possibility of extension).
