About the role

Permanent Part time opportunity to provide high quality emergency services within the Metro North Hospital and Health Service. Emergency Services at The Prince Charles hospital are provided by the  Adult and Children's Emergency Departments, which are adjoining dedicated units functioning together to maximise care delivery

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Ensure high quality care is provided to all patients in the Department of Emergency Medicine.
• Experience and interest in trainee supervision & paediatric emergency education are highly desirable
• Participate in and/or lead research into areas relevant to Emergency Medicine and paediatrics.
• Actively participate in audit and quality improvement initiatives in the Department of Emergency Medicine to ensure that all aspects of the service are regularly reviewed and opportunities for improvement identified.
• Assist the Director and Clinical Directors in the day-to-day running of the Department of Emergency Medicine in its provision of services including the management of the human and material resources necessary to provide services within both the Adult and Children's Emergency Departments.
