Business Support Officer
High Risk Offender Management Unit; Community Corrections; Community Corrections and Specialist Operations; Brisbane
The High-Risk Offender Management Unit (HROMU) team based in the Brisbane and Townsville regions is responsible for the supervision of offenders subject to a supervision order pursuant to the Dangerous Prisoners (Sexual Offenders) Act 2003 (DPSOA) residing throughout Queensland and the electronic monitoring of offenders on parole. It comprises of the following work groups:
-HROMU Strategic Risk and Support, including the Clinical Support Unit;
-HROMU Operations SEQ, operating from Wacol.
-HROMU Central to Far Northern, operating from Townsville and;
-The Electronic Monitoring and Surveillance Unit (EMSU), responsible for the Statewide GPS monitoring of DPSOA offenders and offenders subject to Parole Supervision.

To be successful in this role, the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following experience, knowledge and skills:
- Experience in financial functions and managing administration functions including experience with the use of financial management systems (SAP would be an advantage)
- Experience in managing and co-ordinating a wide range of account management functions
- Effective written and research skills including the ability to prepare reports and submissions on complex matters
- Demonstrated communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills for liaising with management and staff at all levels, to gain commitments and negotiate service delivery, priorities, deadlines, resources and other relevant issues
- Demonstrated ability to understand and apply legislation, policies and procedures relevant to the position
- Effective interpersonal skills as evidenced by the ability to build successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders with a range of competing interests
- Problem solving and analytical skills for investigating and resolving HR issues, and for improving HR practices and processes.
