The role of Principal Advisor Service Planning and Impact is responsible for logic model development and performance reporting on throughput targets for state-wide
rehabilitation service delivery for individuals under the care and supervision of Queensland Corrective Services.
The role will ensure rehabilitation planning is
informed by accurate, in-depth data analysis and develop technological solutions to support performance reporting and compliance.

The Principal Advisor Service Planning and Impact will:-
- Coordinate and lead, in collaboration with ORMS business units and in consultation with sites and operational directorates, QCS's annual program planning process to ensure SDS targets for programs are met.
- Oversee quarterly and end of financial year reporting processes against throughput and SDS targets.
- Identify and monitor trends in demand, offending and population profiles including assessment of impacts to rehabilitation service provision needs in a custodial and community correctional environment.
- Design, develop and maintain mechanisms and innovative technical solutions for collecting, analysing and reporting performance outcomes to support operational practice, evaluations, and senior leadership decision making.
- Provide high level advice to the Agency regarding rehabilitation service delivery and performance reporting, including identifying and responding to emerging risk and encourage a culture of continuous improvement in service delivery, and the development of innovative and evidence-based solutions.
- Prepare strategic advice and ministerial and executive correspondence on offender rehabilitation service delivery and practices, ensuring accuracy and timelines are met.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of work activities and practice issues impacting Specialist Operations, the Agency and operational units.
- Collaborate effectively with ORMS business units and other branches including the Research and Evaluation Group, Operational Performance and Reporting Group, and People Capability Command to achieve strategic outcomes and to promote and support effective offender rehabilitation practices.
- Represent the Agency in negotiations with other Government Agencies and maintain partnership with key agencies as required to ensure the achievement of Government priorities and outcomes.
- Maintain high level knowledge of contemporary and evidence-based offender rehabilitation services to support the ongoing review and evaluation of QCS's rehabilitation service delivery and ensure services contribute to reductions in recidivism.
- Maintain high level of knowledge of legislation, standards, codes of practice, QCS policies and procedures to provide high level support, tools and guidance in respect of rehabilitation service delivery.
- Develop and deliver staff training and communication materials and ensure that it is readily available for use within QCS, including audio, video, PowerPoint presentations, intranet, internet and MS Office Teams.
There are no mandatory qualifications for this position however a tertiary qualification in psychology, behavioural science or social sciences would be highly regarded.
Experience in, or an understanding of, criminal justice environment or similar human service/regulatory agency would be highly regarded.
Travel may be required for this position as this position may be required to work at different sites from time to time.
