About the role

Permanent full-time opportunity to work directly with the Pharmacy Department, the Safety and Quality Unit and the broader multidisciplinary team in assuring the safety and quality of medicines dealings across CKW. The role also contributes expertise and facilitates collaborative projects to support medicines safety practices within Metro North, Queensland Health and other relevant State Departments.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide and be individually accountable for complex clinical system decision making through advanced level knowledge and interpretation of evidence-based practice within a diverse health service.
  • Work collaboratively, and play a coordinating role, with those in the multi-disciplinary team assigned a responsibility (a portfolio) in medicines safety.
  • Actively lead medicines safety across the Directorate through the collaborative development and implementation of strategic plans, best-evidence clinical practices, policies and protocols to achieve identified outcomes.
  • Facilitate the supervision of, or personally supervise clinical experiential attachments and rotations of undergraduate students with specific focus on medicines safety.
