Supervisor Electronic Monitoring Program
High Risk Offender Management Unit; Community Corrections; Community Corrections & Specialist Operations; Wacol
The High Risk Offender Management Unit (HROMU) team based in the Brisbane and Townsville regions is responsible for the supervision of offenders subject to a supervision order pursuant to the Dangerous Prisoners (Sexual Offenders) Act 2003 (DPSOA) residing throughout Queensland and the electronic monitoring of offenders
on parole. It comprises of the following work groups:
-HROMU Strategic Risk and Support, including the Clinical Support Unit;
-HROMU Operations SEQ, operating from Wacol
-HROMU Central to Far Northern, operating from Townsville and;
-The Electronic Monitoring and Surveillance Unit (EMSU), responsible for the Statewide GPS monitoring of DPSOA offenders and offenders subject to Parole Supervision.

This role will responsible for the supervision and development of a team of Electronic Monitoring and Surveillance staff with a focus on training, development and wellbeing initiatives. Prior experience or relevant qualifications in the development and delivery of training will be highly regarded.
Applications will remain current for a period of up to 12 months and may be considered for other vacancies which may include an alternative employment basis (temporary; full time or part time).
The essential requirements for this role are:
*Experience in, and understanding of, supervision and surveillance practices in a human services or related field
*Experience in supervising a small team and developing operational rosters
*Experience in a criminal justice environment or similar human services, regulatory agency
*Ability to engage with community groups and/or external services providers
*Ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
*Demonstrated knowledge, interpretation and application of legislation, policies and procedure
Qualifications, professional registration, conditions and other requirements
*Possession of C Class driver's license
