About the role:
As a Manager, you provide leadership and management to the Land Resource Assessment and Science Team. The position also provides strategic advice to the
Director and Executive Director on functional areas of the business group including state-wide business engagement and coordination, and is responsible for ensuring human resource, operational and reporting requirements are met.
To be successful you will have:
• Experience in leading and managing teams for achieving results and ensuring service delivery in accordance with policies, standards and accountabilities.
• Ability to foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Contributed to state-wide projects, business forums and meetings, while representing the department's vision, values and strategic direction.
• Managed resources through strategic and operational planning, including effective and efficient utilisation of human resources, assets and finances.
• Provided high-level operational and strategic advice, including the preparation of reports, briefing notes and submissions.
Some requirements that we see as essential:
• Travel outside normal working hours may be required. This may involve travel outside of normal office hours and/or overnight accommodation for extended periods.
