About the role

It is the purpose of this role to apply high level clinical neuropsychology skills and knowledge in the assessment and treatment of patients/clients in the local geographical population in order to promote, maintain and improve their health, functional ability and quality of life.

About you

This successful applicant will carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Deliver high level neuropsychology clinical services across a variety of caseloads in a complex chronic disease community setting in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
  • Exercise independent professional clinical judgement in providing clinical neuropsychology services of a complex nature where principles, procedures, techniques or methods require expansion, adaptation or modification, without the need for direct regular clinical practice supervision.
  • Provide high level clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors and relevant service managers regarding service delivery, equipment, technology and the prioritisation and development of neuropsychology clinical services.
  • Actively contribute to service and caseload management and planning within the team.
  • Accountable for the provision of leadership within a legal, professional and ethical framework that ensures contemporary patient care and staff management practices.
  • Act as a reference point on both complex and routine clinical practice matters for HP3 practitioners as required.
