We are looking for exceptional General Practitioners (GP's) from across the Sunshine Coast to join the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service in various flexible GP positions with negotiable hours.
SCHHS Salary includes:
- Base salary comprising of between
- $87.25 - $120.51 p.h. (p/t)
- Motor vehicle allowance (pro rata for part-time)
- L18 - L24 $21,000 p.a.
- L25 $25,500 p.a.
- Attraction and Retention Allowance up to 35% of base salary
- Professional development allowance $21,500 p.a. (pro rata for Part-time)
General Practitioners with Special Interest (GPSI)
The Senior Medical Officer (General Practitioner with Special Interest (GPSI) is responsible for providing high quality outpatient services, across the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS). The Senior Medical Officer (GPSI) provides clinical services that encourages participation in treatment and care aimed at achieving demonstrable improvement in patient outcomes.

Hospital in the Home (HITH)
The Senior Medical Officer (HITH) provides leadership in virtual healthcare that is innovative and aimed at achieving demonstrable improvement in patient outcomes. This role also will require the management of a virtual health portfolio and supervision / teaching of the HITH and SCHHS Resident Medical Officer workforce. Our service is one of the few in Australia that offers training within virtual health care, making this an extremely rare and unique experience.
Minor Injury and Illness Clinic (MIIC)
The Minor Injury and Illness Clinic is an extended hours 7 day a week service (general practitioner/ nurse practitioner, registered nurses and administration support staff) dedicated to providing a more focused and appropriate response to the needs of patients with non-life threatening illnesses and injuries that do not require the services of an Emergency Department.
Virtual Acute Care Service (VACS)
The Virtual Acute Care Service (VACS) is an innovative model of care that is integrated with the broader Sunshine Coast Health Community. VACS is a nurse led service with medical governance providing clinical support and short term (maximum of 7 day) case management of patients requiring virtual care and monitoring delivered in the patient's home. Patients are accepted to the VACS service from units within SCHHS as well as external clinicians in accordance with published protocols. The aim of the VACS service is to bridge the access gap that currently exists between primary and community care and the broader hospital system.
