The Mental Health Service Group are currently seeking to recruit an Occupational Therapist - Senior (Mental Health Clinician) to their team on a permanent full-time basis. This position is located in Townsville.

About your opportunity:
Permanent full-time / Location: Townsville
The Occupational Therapist - Senior will:
- Provide flexible mental health assessment and treatment to adults with mental health difficulties living in the community within a supportive multidisciplinary team environment.
- Provide short, medium and long-term case management so that various services and supports are provided in a coordinated and collaborative manner.
- Provide profession specific services and consultation as required within the team and the Mental Health Service Group.
All employees of the Mental Health Service Group may be required to work in other areas of the service.

- Generous remuneration package value up to $152,775 p.a. comprising:
- Salary range of $4769.60 to $5132.40 p.f. (HP4)
- Annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme:
Eligible health workers who make the move (interstate or international) to work with us may receive up to $20,000 in incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme (conditions apply).
Role Requirements:
- The successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in Occupational Therapy. Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia is required.
- Registration with the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency and possession of current practising certificate.
- Possession of relevant post-registration and/or tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy would be well regarded for a position at this level.
- Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 would be well regarded.
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
