Are you passionate about protecting the stunning Moreton Bay Marine Park?
Located in the beautiful Manly area, we’re seeking a dedicated Ranger who has a deep connection to sea country and is committed to preserving cultural and environmental heritage.

As part of our team, you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding the natural beauty of Moreton Bay Marine Park. You’ll protect sacred sites and pass on invaluable traditional ecological knowledge.

A Coxswains certificate is desirable, and marine skills will be beneficial, as this role involves working at sea. If you don’t already hold a Coxswains certificate, you’ll work towards obtaining one.

The Location:
Manly is an ideal location, nestled close to Moreton Bay Marine Park, it offers easy access to stunning coastal views and vibrant marine life. With Manly as your office location, you'll not only enjoy a dynamic work environment but also the chance to engage with one of Queensland's most beautiful natural treasures.

Role focus:
• Focus on caring for the waters of Moreton Bay Marine Park.
• Demonstrate a deep connection to traditions and a commitment ton cultural and environmental heritage.
• Possess an understanding of sea country management, protect sacred sites, and have the ability to pass on traditional ecological knowledge.
• Assist in developing project plans that outline goals, timelines and resources needed.
• Assist with public queries and provide helpful information.
• Assist in enforcing compliance with regulations to ensure adherence to legal standards.
• Support positive relationships with stakeholders for collaboration and support.
• Promote a workplace culture that supports First Nations interests and engages in better outcomes for First Nations communities.
• Be able to do occasional travel and overnight stays; roster includes regular weekend work.

To be considered you must:
• Hold an unrestricted manual driver's license.
• Provide your current resume (max 4 pages) and
• Provide a short statement (max 2 pages) explaining your interest in the role and what strengths you will bring relevant to the ‘role focus' section of this ad.
• Have good physical health for this hands-on role.
• Coxswains Certificate (desirable but not necessary).
