We are a regional Emergency Department, treating both adults and children, with 50,000 annual presentations—25% paediatric. As the referral Hospital for Central Queensland, we handle a wide range of complex, multi-specialty cases.

We seek a positive, team-oriented Emergency Medicine Physician to join us. Services across Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) are provided across multiple sites, and the role may involve work at different facilities based on service needs.

About us:

We are a regional adult and paediatric mix Emergency Department with an annual attendance of 50,000 presentations and 25% are paediatric. It is the referral hospital for Central Queensland and sees a wide range of complex multi-speciality cases.

About the role:

We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic, team-oriented Emergency Medicine Physician to join our department.

Emergency Services to Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) is provided as one service across multiple sites. To meet service needs the Specialist may be required to provide clinical services at any facility within CQHHS, in line with the clinical services capability of that facility.

About you:

  • MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) and registered as a Specialist in Emergency Medicine with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing Continuing Medical Education (CME) program with the appropriate bodies is mandatory.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $603,602 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary rate between $182,106 - $187,801 p.a. (L13-L14)
  • A salary rate between $210,332 - $244,313 p.a. (L18-L24)
  • A salary rate between $210,332 - $251,527 p.a. (L18-L25)
  • A salary rate between $251,527 - $266,677 p.a. (L25-L27)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
