The Senior Finance Officer undertakes high level operational finance tasks to deliver services within the Service Level Agreement framework. The Senior Finance Officer provides support to other team members plus advice and analysis to client and other stakeholders.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform a range of financial tasks including:
    • preparation of correspondence
    • undertaking accruals and reconciliations
    • end of month journals and reports including balance sheet reconciliations, registers and prepayments
    • daily banking tasks and cashflow reporting
    • management of payroll interface processes including reconciliations
    • manage leave accrual processes
    • management of Open Item Management in SAP
    • maintenance and completion of various registers.
  • Monitor and report on service delivery outcomes in line with service level agreements and contribute to the ongoing development of these agreements.
  • Provide accurate and timely specialist advice and assistance to clients, management and staff on financial management policies, procedures, standards and systems.
  • Undertake research, analysis and investigation into financial management issues and complex problems.
  • Work collaboratively to achieve business process reform and review, enhance and implement improved standardised work practices.
  • Mentor staff to build team capability.
