The Mental Health Service Group, are seeking Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Clinician's to join the Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs Service, on a permanent full-time or part-time basis.

About your opportunity:
Permanent full-time or part-time, hours negotiable
As a clinician working in the Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drugs Service (ATODS), you will provide a broad range drug alcohol assessments and interventions to individuals, their families and groups in the context of minimising harm from substance use within the Townsville geographical area. Provision of outreach services may include North Ward, Kirwan, Vincent and other locations within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
This role supports consumers who are of Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander culture or who are engaged with Queensland Corrective Services. The role supports consumers who also may be engaged with the Queensland Opiate Treatment Program (QOTP).
All employees of the Mental Health Service Group may be required to work in other areas of the Service.
Generous remuneration package value up to $132,567 p.a. (HP3) or $132,289 p.a. (NG6-1) full-time comprising:
- Salary range of $3030.00 to $4453.50 p.f. or $39.86 to $58.59 p.h. (HP3)
- Salary range of $4138.10 to $4431.10 p.f. or $54.44 to $58.30 p.h. (NG6-1)
- Annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme:
Eligible health workers who make the move (interstate or international) to work with us may receive up to $20,000 under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme (conditions apply).
Role Requirements:
- Proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
- Nursing: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
- Allied Health: Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work.
- Blue Card Checks: Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a ‘working with children check' from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position. 5.1.
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
