Under professional supervision, students contribute to effective patient care within Metro South Hospital and Health Service, supporting the Speech Pathology service delivery model.

About the Role
- Provide education to consumers and their families on a defined range of topics.
- Communicate effectively with all members of the interprofessional team using negotiation and conflict resolution as required. Use effective communication skills to contribute to consumer care and progress, including relevant clinical documentation.
- Develop a clear understanding of the role and the roles of other professions, using this knowledge to appropriately support and contribute to consumer goals. Refer to and liaise with other care providers from other disciplines to achieve streamlined consumer care.
- Actively participate in professional and interprofessional meetings including case conferences and departmental meetings.
