About the Role
The Queensland Tissue Bank works with cadaveric and non-cadaveric tissue donors of all ages. Roles that do not have direct responsibilities associated with these functions are likely to be exposed to discussions and/or requests to support elements of this work.
- Participate in projects within the field of tissue donation and production, as required, under the supervision of a more experienced staff member. This may include service improvement projects, and the development of new policies and procedures.
- Ensure availability of equipment, consumables and necessary linen for tissue processing and packaging, including checking stock levels, ordering/storing supplies, and the organisation of sterilisation in accordance with established protocols.
- Development of relationships and networks internally to learn and develop from others and to promote and provide information and services to others.
- Perform routine checks on designated dispatch, freezer, wash up and storage areas and ensure appropriate workplace health and safety conditions, as well as compliance with quality standards.
