About the role

Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to contribute to the provision of a safe and effective hospital pharmacy service that is aligned to organisational goals and values, best practice, professional standards and legislative requirements. Undertake technical and support tasks under the supervision of senior Pharmacy Assistants and Pharmacists, including medicines distribution, stock management, product preparation, prescription processing and associated activities.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement and maintain advanced pharmacy assistant roles including ward based clinical support, dispensary operations and education.
  • Manage operational activities including staff allocation, rostering, prioritising work, coordinating workflow and the continual refining, reviewing and implementing of departmental work procedures.
  • Utilise high-level negotiation and innovative human resource skills to empower team members, increase productivity and address performance management concerns.
