Role details
The Allied Health Team at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Lead Speech Pathologist to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
Provide advanced-level speech pathology clinical services and leadership across the Mackay Hospital and Health Service (MHHS). Support the delivery of high-quality clinical care across the lifespan, and lead the skill development of MHHS speech pathologists working within both routine and specialty areas of speech pathology practice.
This position represents a vital and highly valued component of the Mackay Hospital and Health Service (MHHS) speech pathology team.
This position reports operationally and professionally to the MHHS Director of Speech Pathology and provides services across MHHS facilities.
About the Team
Our Speech Pathology Service delivers care to patients, both children and adults, throughout our hospital departments as well as in outpatient, community and rural settings. Our Speech Pathologists provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management to children and adults needing help with communication and/or swallowing.
About our Hospital and Health Service
Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
