The Queensland resources sector is changing. About the role:
In this role you will:
• Interpret and provide complex policy advice to a variety of internal stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver appropriate land resources legislation and policies.
• Undertake specialised research and analysis to prepare policy documents, reports, briefings and Cabinet Submissions.
• Maintain an awareness of issues, challenges and opportunities land resources and provide input across the department (and other relevant agencies) on associated policy and legislation.
• Represent the department at meetings, committees and interdepartmental working groups, as required.
• Assess and develop recommendations for future training and development and lead the preparation and implementation of relevant training and development plans.
• Initiate, build and maintain effective partnerships with stakeholders across Government.
• Other duties as directed and required.
What we're looking for:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• A tertiary qualification in Surveying, Spatial Information, Law, Public Sector Administration or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
