The role: 

This pivotal leadership role within Delivery Services Branch is responsible for developing and implementing best practise Business Analysis capability across eHealth Queensland and Hospital and Health Services that enhances delivery excellence and achievement of outcomes on-time and on budget.  It provides strategic leadership, engaging diverse stakeholders and looks to integrate all business analysis services including people, processes, tools, frameworks, standards, and functions.

A key focus for the next 12 months is on implementation and embedding of relationships with industry and Queensland Health communities of practice to promote and share knowledge for the benefit of Queensland Health and other government agencies.

Are you right for this role?

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Demonstrated expertise in, and application of, appropriate business analysis frameworks, and an ability to promote and provide advice on the use of appropriate techniques, methodologies and tools, preferably aligned with Business Analysis Body of Knowledge Version 3.0 (BABOK). (SFIA Skill: METL 5)
  • Demonstrated experience in setting the direction for and leading business analysis activities on large scale, complex IM/ICT programs/project(s), preferably in the health care industry. (SFIA Skill: BUAN: Level 6)
  • Demonstrated experience in setting the direction for and leading specialist services on large scale, complex IM/ICT programs/project(s), preferably in the health care industry. (SFIA Skill: ITMG 6)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders and external technology vendors in order to partner with them in delivering the required ICT outcomes (SFIA: RLMT 5,)

eHealth Queensland is one of the largest Information Communication Technology operations in the state. It is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of information systems and technologies so that Queensland Health employees and health providers have access to information that supports the delivery of health care.

The Delivery Services Branch is Queensland Health's trusted partner and advisor for digital health project delivery excellence. The branch includes the following units:

  • Digital Solutions and Technology
  • Digital Health and Business Solutions
  • Delivery Support Services

The core function of the branch is to ensure successful delivery of major IT projects and initiatives to our customers across Queensland Health for the benefit of all Queenslanders.
