About the Team -
The Middleware Team is part of the Platform Services within TMR's Information Technology Branch (ITB) which comprises of Database Services, Middleware and zSystems teams.

About the Role -
If you like variety and to work in an Agile environment this role is for you. This role provides an opportunity to work with diverse and very experienced team members. In this role, you will provide high level technical skills and expertise to support the efficient and effective operation, maintenance and management of a complex enterprise Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure. This infrastructure underpins critical state-wide services and forms the department's strategic platform for delivery of client and network applications.

Skills & Experience -

  • Responsible for the installation, upgrading, and control of systems for IT services and products including load balancers, Web servers, J2EE application servers, such as WebSphere Application Server, Weblogic Application Server and Linux operating systems, such as Suse Linux, Red Hat.
  • Take overall responsibility for the installation, upgrading of Linux operating systems, such as Suse and Red Hat.
  • Support and implement automated configuration management tool such as Puppet and Sceptre.
  • Support the release and deployment of applications over the software development lifecycle and through support for the developer, testing and Production environments.
  • Responsible for installation and maintenance of 3rd party software such QLIK Replicate, IBM MQ and Cognitec DBScan.
  • Provide 24x7 support for business critical Production systems on a rotational basis.
  • Perform ITIL incident, problem, release and change management related activities as required.
