The role:
This role is required to oversee and manage delivery of large scale, complex IM/ICT projects within the DHBS Delivery team, ensuring successful completion within agreed performance criteria which will enable enhanced health service delivery.
You will promote and ensure that appropriate project management techniques, methodologies, and tools as well as benefits realisation and risk issue management are used to ensure the quality outcomes for projects are delivered.
Digital Health & Business Solutions delivers large scale complex ICT projects in the area of enabling clinical digital health capability. This includes onboarding the integrated electronic Medical Record (ieMR) across state-wide major hospitals and enhancements to the ieMR; implementing the Cardiovascular Information System (CVIS) and the delivery of the Infrastructure Maintenance Program (IMP) which is uplifting digital hospital ICT infrastructure.
Responsibilities of the Project Manager include:
- Oversee and manage the definition, documentation and successful completion of large scale, complex program/project(s) in line with Queensland Health project management methodologies.
- Promote and ensure the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools, including benefits realisation and risk and issue management, to ensure quality project outcomes are delivered.
- Oversee and manage the monitoring and reporting of project related trends and performance against project plans and schedules.
- Manage project resources, expenses and capital costs against the project forecasts.
- Initiate, influence and maintain relationships with and between key internal and external stakeholders, facilitate effective communication channels to promote the successful adoption of change within the business, and foster relationships through lessons learned, feedback mechanisms and management of expectations.
- Manage capability and resource development by leading and mentoring multi-disciplinary project team(s).
- Proven experience working as a consultant or the ability to acquire consultancy skills in a short period of time.
