In this role you will be required to provide culturally safe and effective clinical care and Liaison services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people while admitted to Atherton Hospital within a multidisciplinary team.

About your role:

• Provide appropriate clinical support within the multidisciplinary team environment to ensure best health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within the outreach communities.
• Engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to facilitate individual and group health education, prevention and promotion activities.
• Utilise highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills to develop professional and multidisciplinary partnerships to achieve quality clinical service outcomes.
• Work cooperatively and effectively with other members of the multidisciplinary teams across different services.
• Liaise with patients and their families, advocating for their rights and needs when required.
