The Accessible Transport Network (ATN) Program supports the Department of Transport & Main Roads (TMR) in its commitment to deliver accessible & inclusive transport products, services, information, & infrastructure, as well as workplaces & work practices.
In this role the Senior Advisor (Accessibility) will support the work of the ATN across TMR, the Queensland Public Sector and the broader community, positioning the transport network and departmental services and products, to be responsive and fully accessible to all our customers, now and in the future.

About the role
The purpose of the Senior Advisor (Accessibility) is to support the ATN to provide of technical access and inclusion advice across TMR and the department's delivery partners.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• review, analyse, and research issues relating to accessibility and inclusion for the ATN.
• prepare and coordinate accessibility and universal design advice on infrastructure projects.
• co-design with ATN stakeholders to deliver customer-focused accessibility and inclusion solutions.
• support TMR to achieve functional accessibility and inclusion outcomes, in addition to meeting legislative obligations.
• support the delivery of projects and initiatives as part of the ATN program of work.
Requirements of the role
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
• experience in universal design, co-design and/or accessible infrastructure design.
• highly developed time management and project management skills, and an ability to manage small to medium size projects.
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to deliver complex information clearly and to work effectively with key stakeholders.
