Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service are the public health provider for over 250 000 people in the region. We welcome you to become a part of the Central Community Care Team as a Psychologist or Social Worker or Occupational Therapist (Allied Health Clinician). In this role you will be responsible for delivering best-practice evidence-based clinical services, including assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic intervention and evaluation, to consumers of the Cairns and Hinterland HHS Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service.

About your role:
- Work with families and communities to promote recovery and community inclusion and to access generic supports, opportunities and resources.
- Develop and maintain collaborative work practices and relationships with other agencies (including non-government organisations), service providers and consumer and carer groups to ensure consumers have access to an integrated service system.
- Effectively communicate at all levels across the organisation and with external stakeholders, including non-government organisations, consumers and their carers.
- Provide input into the development of evidence-based clinical policy and practice, service development, quality improvement activities, research and evaluation projects and the utilisation of mental health information systems related to service delivery, performance and outcome measurements.
- You may be required to work across other clinical teams within MHAODS to assist in meeting patient care needs, managing leave cover and supporting service delivery.
