Role details

The Nursing Services and Productivity at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for an Administration Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

  • To provide and undertake a diverse range of confidential administration support utilising computer skills and administrative experience to support clinical areas and complete assigned tasks, particularly in staffing, human resources and information management systems. 
  • Analyse information and problem solve to meet timeframes and outcomes. 
  • Communicate and liaise with the Nurse Managers / Nurse Unit Managers to support clinical areas and the nursing workforce.

About the Team

The Nursing Services and Productivity Unit supports the Mackay Hospital and Health Service with a specific focus on the Nursing and Midwifery workforce.  The unit provides business planning, support to nurses, Managers, Directors, Executive leaders, and other key stakeholders utilising many different IT systems. Nursing Service and Productivity team also co-ordinate end to end recruitment of base grade registered nurses and midwifes for the Mackay Hospital and Health Service.

The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
