Are you an experienced leader, motivated and ready to take on the challenge driving outcomes in the delivery of customer focused support and management of the Departments digital systems? Join our team in this management role within the Digital Systems and Solutions team.
The Digital Systems & Solutions teams provides a range of business focused IT services, including data platform management and support, systems administration and application development and support. You will lead and manage the Digital Systems Management and Support team overseeing the ongoing operational support, management and enhancement of the department’s digital solution, WaterIQ.

The Department
The Department of Local Government, Water and Volunteers (DLGWV) previously known as the Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water is at the forefront of driving sustainable growth across Queensland. Key Accountabilities:
• Ensure IT service management is highly client focused and aligned with ITIL practices and supports continual improvement.
• Lead the design and delivery of changes and updates to business systems and applications, co-ordinating processes to build, test, and deploy.
• Manage digital solution backlogs to ensure strategic alignment with departmental priorities and objectives.
• Undertake technical work required to ensure high availability and performance of systems including monitoring, maintenance, and problem management.
• Consult with business stakeholders to understand technology and information management requirements and provide advice and outcomes aligned with operational strategies and ICT policies.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for new technology solutions and system enhancements that support the Departments current and future business needs.
• Develop guidelines and procedures for the effective use of business systems based on principles of information management governance.
• Manage relationships with external suppliers and IT Service providers to ensure service provision meets business requirements.
• Supervise the support team members to deliver operational support and/or project outcomes.
About You
• Excellent team leadership, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills to ensure service provision meets business requirements.
• You will have demonstrated experience in the following:
- The design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise information systems.
- IT service operations in ITIL environments.
- Applications support and in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
- IT project management methodologies.
• Travel away from the centre may be required.
