We are seeking an experienced Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Officer to join the GRC team at the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA). The GRC team are a multi-disciplinary team of professionals incorporating governance, risk, compliance, quality, business continuity and facilities.

This position is a permanent, full-time role and is located in the Brisbane CBD with generous flexible working arrangements.

The role of the GRC Officer is to support the achievement of the RTA's strategic and operational objectives by efficiently coordinating and assisting with various functions, ensuring the RTA's adherence to both external regulations and internal policies.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience administering governance, risk and/or compliance frameworks, including the review and update of associated policies and procedures
  • Experience coordinating reviews of policies and procedures
  • Proven experience coordinating an internal audit function including working with independent assurance providers
  • Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
  • Proven capability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organisation and build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
