With branches in Rockhampton, Mackay, Barcaldine and a site office in Emerald, the Transport and Main Roads Program Delivery and Operations (PDO) Central Queensland Region (CQ Region) looks after 9076km of state-controlled roads and about 1510km of the National Road Network. This role will contribute to the development and delivery of the Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP).
The CQ Region covers an area of about 604,824km2, approximately 34.9% of Queensland. Its landscape ranges from beautiful coastal areas adjoining the Great Barrier Reef and rainforests to the rugged outback with breathtaking rock formations. The region has an estimated residential population of 422,141 people.

We are seeking candidates for future AO3 roles. Applications are assessed regularly as temporary and permanent vacancies arise. Below are some of the general key accountabilities and requirements for an AO3 in TMR. If you are considered for a role in TMR you will be provided with a more specific position description at that point.
• Provide high level administrative support to achieve maximum efficiencies, accuracy, and outputs for various support functions to assist the work unit.
• Utilise database and information systems to update, validate and analyse computer generated reports to support business and program support related activities.
• Liaise and foster relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders and clients.
• Undertake administrative support in accordance with organisational business rules, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance and consistency of activities.
• Ensure operational practices, standards of service and performance comply with departmental and regional policies, legislation (incl. WH&S), and governance obligations.
• Assist in the development of local work practices to meet District office needs and to ensure compliance requirements are met.
• Provide administrative support to team members, including active participation in relevant meetings.
