About the opportunity:
Position: Registrar or Principal House Officer
Vacancy: Fixed Term Temporary full-time, from 06/01/2025 up to 03/08/2025.
Location: Rehabilitation Unit, Townsville University Hospital
This position will deliver high quality clinical care to patients of The Townsville University Hospital. This will include providing supervision of junior medical staff including inpatient care and will include some responsibility for providing teaching to junior medical staff, medical students and allied health staff.

- Salary range: $4966.90 to $5758.70 p.f. (L4-L9)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

Requirements:
- A relevant Degree Qualification from a recognised tertiary institution and hold Current Registration as a medical practitioner or eligible for Current Registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Successful completion of at least two years post-registration training.
- All applicants must be awared SoCP by the Townsville Hospital and Health Service Credentialing and SoCP Committee. All appointments are subject to maintenance of the SoCOP with the CSCS for the facilities in which clinical work is to be undertaken.
- If appointee is not accepted into a recognised vocational college training program – employment will only be as a Principal House Officer and remuneration will be at the L4-L7 (PHO) level per fortnight. Upon entry into the Basic Physician Training Program via Qld Pathways, remuneration will be adjusted accordingly.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
