About the opportunity:
Position: Engineering Tradesperson - Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic
Vacancy: Ongoing, 76 hours per fortnight
Location: Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services / Facilities and Integrated Support Services / Townsville University Hospital
The Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic will undertake work on domestic, commercial, and industrial Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning – Refrigeration (HVAC-R) systems including, planned preventive maintenance.

Enjoy a generous remuneration package including:
- Salary range: $2933.40 to $3462.40 per fortnight (HBEA9-HBEA6)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Mandatory qualifications/ professional registration/ other requirements:
- The following mandatory qualification and professional registration applies to this position:
- Queensland Trade Certificate in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration.
- QBCC Mechanical Services – Occupational Licence.
- Queensland Restricted Electrical Work Licence. - Arctik Refrigerant Handling Licence.
- C Class motor vehicle licence.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted including Criminal History Checks and Aged Care screening.
