We are seeking an experienced cyber security professional to join the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA). This critical role is required to support our organisation in safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring the integrity of our digital infrastructure by proactively identifying vulnerabilities, implementing robust security measures, and responding effectively to incidents.
This position is a permanent, full-time role and is located in the Brisbane CBD with generous flexible working arrangements.

The role of the Manager Cyber Security is to work closely with various departments to develop, maintain and promote a cyber security framework, enhance security policies, conduct risk assessments, monitor systems for suspicious activity, analyse potential security breaches and collaborate with Queensland Government and managed service partners.
To be successful you will need:
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated experience with implementing cyber security controls, such as Essential Eight
- A proven track record managing cyber security vulnerabilities and incident management
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft 365 Security stack (Defender XDR, Sentinel)
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks within a high-functioning team
- Highly regarded: completion of an IT degree with at least 5 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and certificates, such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM.
