The role
In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of clinical consumables, equipment, and other goods. Key duties include receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching items in alignment with service quality standards and workplace health and safety policies. You will also perform delivery functions as per schedules, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders. Additionally, identifying and reporting discrepancies, operating materials handling equipment safely, and assisting with stocktaking processes are essential aspects of the role.

Success requires teamwork, adaptability to changing work demands, and strong communication skills when engaging with customers and colleagues. While prior knowledge of warehousing and distribution functions is beneficial, the ability to acquire relevant skills is essential. Compliance with Queensland Health vaccination requirements may be necessary, and a current forklift or MR truck license, while not mandatory, would be advantageous. If workplace adjustments or support are required, open communication is encouraged to ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
