The purpose of this position is to assist with the program support, data analysis and interpretation for development, implementation and coordination of program initiatives for human services.

Youth Justice Commissioning, Investment and Innovation works closely with nongovernment service providers, youth justice regions and other government agencies to deliver high quality and culturally safe youth justice services in locations across Queensland.

This supportive, diverse and welcoming team leads the development, management, evaluation and continuous improvement of a broad range of programs that are dedicated to supporting young people who are committing offences to address the factors that are contributing to their offending, with the ultimate goal of improving community safety.

As Program Officer, you will specifically:

• Support the analysis and interpretation of data and contribute to the development and coordination of programs and projects relating to human services.
• Undertake program and project management work to analyse, improve and maintain practices in service delivery.
• Liaise and consult with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the consistency of programs, services, and practices relevant to the business area and departmental priorities.
• Respond to enquiries and provide advice about programs, services and procedures relevant to the business area.
• Support and contribute to the deliverables and responsibilities of the team as required and assist with the development of strategies that relate the work of the business area.
• Prepare a range of written materials including briefing notes, memorandums for approval, external correspondence, discussion papers and information papers relative to the programs and initiatives managed or delivered by the business area.
