The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Pharmacy Assistant – Senior to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide a defined range of pharmacy services for patients under the delegation and guidance of a pharmacist
- Support, mentor, educate, train, and supervise Pharmacy Assistants
- Prepare, distribute and dispense pharmaceuticals under the supervision of a Pharmacist
- Support with inventory management in clinical areas through counting, ordering and assisting in picking of stock for delivery, reviewing stock holdings and providing advice to the inventory manager on stock issues
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Certificate IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support (HLT47115)
- Certificate of Competency in ‘Maintain Pharmaceutical Imprest Stock' Module (HLTPA001)
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time and temporary full time (one permanent part time position, 53.2 hrs p.f. and one temporary full time position up to 12 months)
- Base salary ranging from $76 076 - $81 346 per annum, $38.36 - $41.02 per hour
