Your role will include:

  • Answering Triple Zero (000) emergency calls for service from the Qld public in challenging situations
  • Accurately recording important time critical information from callers
  • Identify and allocate resources to life threatening or significant situations
  • Accurately relay information to operational police officers
  • Answering routine telephone requests for assistance from the public

Police Communications Operators are required to work shift work (24/7), including weekends and public holidays

Please submit a written statement of no more than 2-pages outlining your suitability for the position by addressing the key accountabilities, a typing certificate demonstrating a minimum 40-WPM with 98% accuracy, and your updated resume which includes a minimum of two referees with their current contact details, one of which, must be your current supervisor.
