Townsville Hospital and Health Service, is the public healthcare provider for the government areas of Townsville, Burdekin, Charters Towers, Flinders, Richmond, Hinchinbrook and Palm Island. We operate 21 facilities from primary care in regional locations to highly specialised care at the main hospital.
The AIN is responsible for providing nursing care in a professional, safe and compassionate manner as a member of Eventide team. The AIN works under the direction of the of the Registered Nurse and this may be overseen by an Enrolled Nurse to assist in achieving service goals.

Position: Assistant In Nursing
Vacancy: Permanent part-time, Multiple positions & hours negotiable
Location: Parklands Residential Aged Care Facility, Kirwan Health Campus

- Salary range: $33.20 to $36.35 p.h. (Nurse Grade 1 Band 1)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

Requirements:
- Applicants who meet one of the following criteria are considered highly desirable:
- Hold a relevant Certificate III in Aged Care, Health Service Assistant or equivalent
- Successful completion of the first semester full-time equivalent Diploma of Nursing course including all theoretical and clinical competencies
- Successful completion of the first year full-time equivalent undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing course including all theoretical and clinical competencies
- Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Check: As a Health Care worker in Queensland Health who engages in risk-assessed roles, you must hold a current disability check (Yellow Card or Yellow Card Exemption) or a NDIS worker screening check, in accordance with Part 5 of the Disability Services Act 2006 (Qld).
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
