The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Dietitian Assistant - Senior to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Support dietitians in delivering quality, evidence-based patient care
- Help coordinate training for Dietitian Assistants and staff
- Mentor and supervise junior Dietitian Assistants as delegated
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new assistants
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Certificate IV Allied Health Assistance (Nutrition and Dietetics) or equivalent
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
- Working with Children check (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (15.2 hrs p.f.)
- Base salary ranging from $38.36 - $41.02 per hour

The Nutrition and Food Services department is committed to safe, effective optimal nutrition management for adult and paediatric patients as well as education and training, credentialing and scope of clinical practice, performance management reports, evidence-based care, monitoring of variation in clinical practice and health outcomes.
