We have three (3) roles being offered in a Permanent Part-time capacity, 60 hours and 0.79 FTE per fortnight.

About Collingwood Park State Secondary College
Collingwood Park State Secondary College is located in Brisbane Metropolitan South region, in the Ipswich Western Corridor. Opening our doors this year, we have 260 students across Years 7 & 8. We are growing a year level each year, with 2029 to be our first full cohort.
Our focus is on creating a sense of belonging for our community and providing engaging curriculum to our students for 'Inspiring Minds, Brighter Futures'.
Your Role
As a Teacher Aide at Collingwood Park State Secondary College, you will contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by supporting students in the educational setting. You will assist and support students to engage in lessons, regulate emotions, positively interact with others and work with teachers to enhance student participation in lessons and activities.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students to help them to engage in learning activities
- Work collaboratively with staff to support students to re-engage in education
- Adhere to and follow individual student support and action plans
- Assist in the supervision of educational activities, under the direction of a teacher
- Display respect and empathy for vulnerable students with complex needs
- Display confidentiality and sensitively to students and their families
- Communicate effectively and display high levels of interpersonal skills to function as an effective team member
- Foster a positive, inclusive and safe classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
About You
Ideally applicants would have prior experience working in this area and would have the following attributes:
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work independently with a group of students
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow the guidance of teachers.
- Willingness to adapt to the specific needs of each student & maintain a positive attitude
- Applicants need to demonstrate an understanding of inclusive education practices and skills that align with DoE's vision of Equity and Excellence.
