About the opportunity:
Position: Registrar / Principal House Officer
Vacancy: Fixed term temporary full-time or part-time, 04/08/2025 to 31/01/2027
Location: Emergency Department, Townsville University Hospital
Enjoy a generous remuneration package value up to $195,280 p.a. comprising:
- Salary range: $4966.90 to $5758.70 p.f. (L4 – L9)
- Annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:
- Mandatory qualifications (Medical Degree Qualifications (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognised tertiary institution) and proof of registration (AHPRA)
- Successful completion of at least three (3) years post-registration training, (minimum 2 years post-registration training for ACCRM/FRACGP trainees applying for ED AST).
- Accepted into recognised vocational college training program relevant to speciality is preferred.
- If appointee is not accepted into a recognised vocational college training program – employment will be as a Principal House Officer and remuneration will be at Level 4–7 as per the award (MOCA6).
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted including criminal history clearance.
