About the role

Manage the operational delivery of clinical and non-clinical services for a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals delivering telephone based mental health triage, crisis support, and brief interventions for consumers and families who are making initial contact with Metro North Mental Health.  Care is delivered with a focus on optimising psychosocial outcomes and facilitating recovery from mental illness within a recovery and trauma-informed framework. This role applies well-developed clinical knowledge and skill to contribute to the strategic direction of the service and provides authoritative counsel to internal and external stakeholders. 

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders within and external to the mental health service.
  • Provide strategic direction to the MHCALL team in line with organisational, state-wide, and national priorities and plans.
  • In collaboration with the team Psychiatrist, provide clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team which ensures delivery of a high quality, evidence-based service to meet consumer needs.
  • As the lead of a MNMH-wide team, directly and regularly engage the relevant Acute Care / Acute Response / Access teams as stakeholders in the broader crisis response system.
